Eeva Reeder developed and implemented an architecture assignment for her Mountlake Terrace High School geometry students in which they design a school and consult with local experts -- an example of project-based learning and assessment at their best. She currently is working as an educational consultant, providing staff development to teachers statewide in applied learning instructional strategies. She also is co-developing instructional rubrics for the SchoolWork Initiative. The rubrics are designed to help students improve their performance in problem solving, teamwork, information gathering, oral presentation, and other work-based skills.
